Since it´s first baby steps 9 years ago (2009), TEDxAmsterdam has grown into a spectacular annual event, with more than 22.7K FaceBook and 39K Twitter followers. The hashtag #TEDxAms trended in 63 countries and 5000 people watched the live stream from Africa alone, at the 2015 TEDxAmsterdam event.
There is an incredible amount of content creation every year at TEDxAmsterdam, content that we spread through various media, and this is where you can play a part!
Roles & responsibilities
We need a person who can help us spread & tell about our motto ¨great ideas worth doing¨. A person that is happy to share all that is said about TEDxAmsterdam in several media outlets.
The PR managers responsibilities will be:
1. Spread and manage all PR about TEDxAmsterdam
2. Work closely with our PR partner. All press information, images and media resources about TEDxAmsterdam, are gathered by Coebergh PR.
We work hard to exceed the expectations of our TEDxAmsterdam followers every year, and this year will be no exception. Hopefully, this year, you can help us with this!!
Experience, education & skills
The ideal candidate will live and breathe communication & PR, preferably also have some experience in the field. Together with Coebergh PR, you will create strategies and be responsible for the execution and further development of the TEDxAmsterdam PR. You will create engaging and debate evoking content, and be responsible for supporting & developing the communication around the TEDxAmsterdam brand.

As a non-profit organization we cannot offer money, however we can offer experience and networking, that can be of great value to not only your LinkedIn profile, but your professional and private life.
TEDxAmsterdam is a nonprofit foundation, driven by more than 100 volunteers and financially supported by sponsors from the corporate world. The main goal of the foundation is to organize several annual TEDxAmsterdam events and create a movement around ‘ideas worth doing’. The communication team is responsible for spreading great and engaging content & ensuring online human2human interaction.
